This article analyzes the efficiency of the MQTT protocol in transmitting sensor data within IoT systems operating under constrained energy and network resources. The conducted experiments and developed mathematical models confirm that MQTT consumes less network traffic compared to traditional HTTP, ensures lower latency by maintaining persistent connections, and significantly improves device energy efficiency. In designing large-scale sensor networks, utilizing the asynchronous architecture of MQTT and securing it through clustering methods serves as one of the key factors in ensuring system stability.
