This article discusses the current importance of social-emotional learning in various fields, its provision of basic skills necessary for success in all areas of life, the definitions and perspectives of various scholars on “Social-Emotional Learning” (SEL), as well as the role of social-emotional learning in society, especially in education, including language learning. The main aspects and components of social-emotional learning in education, as well as methods of integration in foreign language learning, are discussed in detail.
