The article examines the legal and socio-economic aspects of dividing the property of spouses engaged in entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It analyzes current legislation: Family Code (arts. 23, 27), Civil Code (art. 24), and the Law on Family Entrepreneurship (26 April 2012). Based on domestic and international sociological and institutional studies, the paper identifies major challenges: delineating personal versus business assets, valuation of enterprises, and protecting third-party interests. It proposes improvements: promotion of prenuptial agreements, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and establishment of fixed monetary compensation instead of fragmenting business assets.
