The 4k competencies are used to identify competencies from the cognitive, metacognitive, social and emotional areas. These include critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication. These competencies are mentioned in the projects of the US Foundation, the Federal State Educational Standard of Russia, as well as in the programs of presidential schools in Uzbekistan.
