The article is devoted to the study of scientific and theoretical foundations of using innovative methods in preschool educational organizations to attract children of the preparatory group to books and awaken interest in fiction. Modern methods and means of teaching, their influence on the formation of interest in reading in preschool children are considered. Particular attention is paid to the importance of the brightness and diversity of the approaches used, capable of effectively developing the skills of perceiving a book and forming a sustainable interest in literature.
