The article considers the influence of innovative technologies on the production of forensic examinations. Promising innovative directions of forensic-expert activity are shown, among which 3D technologies, nanotechnologies and application of artificial neural networks are singled out as effective. Proposals were made to expand the possibilities of forensic expertise by solving the tasks of expertise, which were previously considered unfeasible, qualitatively changing the activities of forensic experts under the influence of innovations.
