The article examines the current state and development of legal assistance systems focusing on their diversity and significance for ensuring fair justice. The author analyzes recent legal reforms, the role of advocacy in protecting citizens' rights, and issues related to the accessibility of legal aid. Emphasis is placed on the legal guarantees established in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the implementation of the free legal aid system, which has played a crucial role in strengthening the rule of law and increasing public trust in the judicial system. The article also discusses international standards and their impact on legal practice, including the confidentiality of attorney-client privilege. Key aspects of ensuring the right to legal assistance and the professional conduct of attorneys are explored. The article underscores the need for continuous improvement of legal assistance systems to ensure equal access to justice and enhance the quality of legal support. The conclusion offers recommendations for improving existing practices and removing barriers to obtaining qualified legal assistance.
