This article is devoted to the study of the specifics of determining the remuneration and expenses of a lawyer under legal aid agreement in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author conducts a comparative legal analysis of the criteria for evaluating remuneration, as well as methods for determining the remuneration of a attorney for the provision of legal services in foreign countries and in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since the costs of attorney must also be reflected in the agreement, the expenses consider the types of costs and work that are taken into account by the lawyer when calculating the costs reimbursed by the client. The article assesses the influence of the US experience in using the success fee, as a result of which the legislative regulation of the application of this method and the specifics of regulation in special “fees agreement” concluded between a lawyer and a client are investigated.
