This article is devoted to the key aspects of social protection of the population in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It analyzes the state policy of New Uzbekistan in the field of improving the social protection system and ensuring the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of children. Special attention is paid to the specific features of the social protection system for children in Uzbekistan, including the legal regulation of this area. The measures taken to support families and children are also analyzed. The article places special emphasis on protecting the interests of the child within the framework of a social protection system based on the principle of child welfare.
