This article, based on sources and literature from various periods, analyzes the formation of the agricultural policy of the Russian Empire in the Turkestan region, aimed at strengthening political and economic prestige in the international arena by the middle of the 19th century. Policies based on the principles of colonialism are examined through the prism of their influence on the subordination of agriculture to the interests of the empire, which was achieved due to various military expeditions and observations.
