This article explores the issues of developing students' competence in subjectsby teaching artistic works in elementary grades based on a synergistic approach. The synergeticapproach organizes the educational process as a whole, and serves to form students' creativethinking, analytical approach, and interdisciplinary understanding skills when studying works ofart. The article examines ways of developing students' interdisciplinary competencies by analyzingworks of art and connecting their content with life events
