This article evaluates the main directions of modernization of the state administration system, first of all, the role and importance of the state in the life of modern society. In the study, recommendations are made regarding how modern state management systems should evaluate the rapid changes taking place in society in economic, social, political, and other directions. In the history of statehood, the organization of state administration and the best form of building a system of relations between its constituent structures, as well as the history of the formation of ideas of the state based on decentralized administration, have been studied. The conceptual understanding of the problems of decentralization of state administration in the current era of globalization and the interpretations of its legal foundations in modern scientific literature and international organizations are also studied comparatively. Within the framework of administrative reforms in Uzbekistan, the role and importance of decentralization in modernizing and improving the efficiency of the state administration system is highlighted.
