This article provides a comparative analysis of the mechanisms for the execution of judicial acts, including sentences of foreign states, on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the procedural aspects of implementing the principle of reciprocity in the context of cooperation in the field of criminal proceedings. The authors analyze the regulatory norms of international documents relating to the execution of requests in criminal investigations. It is noted that the recognition and execution of foreign criminal sentences serve as a form of international judicial cooperation, the opposite of the extradition of convicted persons to serve their sentences. Although this facilitates enforcement proceedings in the country making the decision, this procedure is not part of it and is rarely used due to its specificity and basis on different principles. However, in the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, there is a procedure for resolving such legal relations, the analysis of which allowed the authors to propose several ways to improve it
