This article is devoted to improving the legal basis for the participation of political parties in the activities of local representative bodies. The article theoretically examines the main tasks of party structures in local representative bodies and the main directions of their activities. The article also analyzes the best practices of foreign countries and the approaches of legal scholars to the participation of political parties in the activities of representative bodies of government.
