Creating an effective system of control over the legality of regulatory legal acts of local government bodies is an important state task that ensures the protection and implementation of the rights of local government bodies guaranteed by the Constitution. The bulk of illegal regulatory legal acts of local authorities are determined by the prosecutor's office. The article discusses the theoretical and legal foundations of prosecutorial supervision over the legality of regulatory legal acts of local government bodies. The author expresses his views on the subject and object of prosecutorial supervision to improve the legal regulation of the activities of the prosecutor's office in this area.
