This article analyzes the interrelationship between the state’sexternal debt and financial stability. The study examines the impact of externaldebt on economic growth, the sustainability thresholds of the debt burden,international experiences (including examples from developing countries), andthe current state of external debt management in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Thearticle puts forward key ways to ensure financial stability, such as improving thedebt strategy, developing domestic financial markets, increasing exportpotential, introducing debt risk management mechanisms, and strengtheningcooperation with international financial institutions. The research results are ofpractical importance in shaping state financial policy and contribute to ensuringsustainable economic development.
