Thermoionic mass and thermal desorption spectrometry of psychotropic drugs

Annotatsiya

The paper presents the results of thermoionic mass- and thermodesorption spectrometry of the drugs pregabalin (lyrica), carbamazepine and tropicamide. These drugs are widely used in illegal circulation and often abused by the addicts. Mass and thermal desorption spectra were obtained on thermal emitters made from tungsten oxide and molybdenum oxide doped with iridium. The thermal ionic and thermal desorption characteristics of molecules were determined. The high efficiency of ionization of drug molecules (from 7 K/mol to 110 K/mol) with a limit of detection (from 0.5 pmol) in the analysis of biological samples was established. Due to the high selectivity of the developed method, the samples were analyzed without preliminary chromatographic separation. The paper also presents the results of comparing the analytical capabilities of thermoionic techniques with the data obtained by traditional ionization methods.
