This article analyzes the organizational and legal mechanisms for ensuring the safety of hydropower facilities in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It examines the rational use of water resources, the strengthening of energy security, the monitoring of the technical condition of hydraulic structures, and the prevention of accidents. Based on an analysis of current legislation and international instruments, the study identifies shortcomings in the legal and institutional framework, challenges in the distribution of powers among government authorities, and opportunities for applying international experience. The study concludes by developing proposals to improve the legal mechanisms for ensuring safety.
