This article analyzes the concept, legal nature, and scientific and theoretical foundations of prosecutorial supervision over the legality of financial sanctions imposed as a measure of legal enforcement for tax offences, as well as the meaning of the terms “tax offence” and “financial sanction”. In addition, the article examines the specific characteristics of financial sanctions and the factors that should be considered when organizing prosecutorial supervision over the legality of their application.
