The article examines the projection of soft power by the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan during 2000–2025. The study aims to identify differences in institutional logic, target audiences, communication channels and the mechanisms through which cultural and humanitarian resources are converted into durable foreign-policy influence. The methodology combines comparative-historical, institutional and problem-chronological approaches with content analysis of official materials and secondary analysis of statistical and programme data. The article proposes an analytical matrix linking resource, institution, channel, audience, effect and limitation in order to distinguish the possession of attractive resources from observable influence. The findings show that the Chinese model integrates language, education, infrastructure and economic cooperation; the Japanese model relies on human-capital development, technical cooperation, trust and a reputation for quality; and the South Korean model combines popular culture, digital media, university integration, technology and business. The study concludes that soft-power effectiveness depends less on the volume of resources invested than on the fit between instruments and local demand and on the ability to sustain long-term networks of interaction.
