The article provides a detailed analysis of the legal analysis of smuggling, that is, its object. In particular, special, generic, basic direct, additional, and optionally direct objects of smuggling are investigated, as well as the opinions of foreign and domestic scientists on this matter are presented. Based on the analysis and considerations, the author identified the main, additional, and optional direct objects of smuggling.
