This article examines the economic situation in Africa after the Second World War, in particular the policies and reforms aimed at modernizing the agricultural sectors. The impact on economic changes of the efforts of European countries in other areas of maintaining colonial orders in Africa was also assessed, as well as changes in the agricultural potential after the modernization policy of the countries of the region were analyzed.
