The article analyzes some disputes and discussions of specialists and scientists on this issue, starting from the period when women's rights and their practical significance were separately studied in the legal field. Reasonable opinions were also expressed that the legal position of women, i.e. the totality of their rights and obligations should not be exactly the same as the legal status of men. Another important aspect of this article is that the author gives a special definition of the approach of specialists to the problem of women's rights, expressing the originality of the concept of women's rights.
