The article examines the linguocultural dimensions of modern logistics terminology and Uzbek national-cultural naming strategies. A purposive sample of 24 terms selected from ISO, UN/CEFACT and Incoterms® sources is subjected to conceptual and comparative analysis. Cases such as “dry port”, “freight forwarder” and “fulfillment center” illustrate the relative value of calquing, descriptive translation, functional equivalents and preserving international identifiers. The paper proposes context-sensitive criteria for equivalent selection and a two-level terminographic entry model. The findings are qualitative and are not presented as statistical generalizations about the whole industry.
