The article deals with contractual and legal relations when using land on a leasehold basis. The features of the land plot, which is the subject of the agreement, the legal regulation of the land lease agreement, the concepts associated with the creation of agreements on the creation, change or termination of the right to use the land plot, are studied. In particular, the main important conditions of the land lease agreement and the concept of secondary lease are covered in detail. Also, theoretical conclusions were made by studying and analyzing regulatory documents related to this area. As a result of the study, some proposals and recommendations were given for improving the legislation governing contractual and legal relations when using land on a leasehold basis.
