This article focuses on the activities of libraries in the Bukhara region in the 1990s. The issues of changes in the activities of libraries in the region during the years of independence are described, and achievements and shortcomings are discussed. Changes in the activities of libraries, the renewal of book funds, the location of libraries, their material and technical condition, including shortcomings, are analyzed at the regional level.
