This article covers the historical geography, territorial boundaries, natural and geographical conditions, settlements, and irrigation systems of the Bukhara oasis in the early Middle Ages. The study analyzes the geographical location of the oasis in the lower reaches of the Zarafshan River and its impact on economic, political, and cultural development. The location of cities, rural settlements, fortresses, and trade routes formed in the Bukhara oasis during the early Middle Ages is studied from a historical-geographical perspective.
