This article analyzes the concept of exemption from criminal liability of minors, the use of coercive measures of educational influence, the order and types of coercive measures, the specifics of the responsibility of minors. The grounds, conditions and procedure for the release of a person from criminal liability and punishment are determined. Proposals were formed to improve the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of foreign experience, the issue of the need for wider application of coercive measures was discussed.
