Currently, project activity in teaching individual subjects is of great importance. The article reveals the use of this activity in mathematics lessons and this allows the teacher to direct cognitive and research activity. The characteristics of the provided choice of tasks during the implementation of the project, variability, and interdisciplinary communication for students are given. The solution of the problem is analyzed, and it is recommended to turn to the method of level differentiation.
