The article considers composing creativity as one of the factors in the evolutionary development of traditional professional music by Shashmaqоm. Composing in different historical epochs has been a driving, renewing, recreating aspect of musical art. In the context of the historical development of traditional professional music, composing has played a decisive role in the formation of new musical forms, genres, cycles and systems. It has always been present in an active or somewhat passive form in the creative thinking of a musician of every era. Thanks to his composing work, traditional professional music has always met the requirements of the time, taste and aesthetic criteria of his listener and brought up his perception of everything new in the musical art.
