Annotatsiya

Piano performance in Uzbekistan occupies a special place in the country’s musical culture, reflecting the richness of national traditions while simultaneously integrating the achievements of world classical music. The development of piano art cannot be considered without taking into account the unique system of musical education based on the principles of ustoz-shogird — a traditional mentoring institution deeply rooted in the history of Eastern civilization. Professor Adiba Sharipova is an outstanding educator whose work has become a significant milestone in the development of piano art in Uzbekistan. Her pedagogical path vividly demonstrates how the ustoz-shogird tradition can be implemented at a modern level, meeting contemporary demands while preserving the national characteristics of musical education. This approach shows that the ustoz-shogird system goes beyond teaching technique — it shapes artistic thinking and performance style. In her class, special attention was given to nurturing the individuality of each student. Sharipova adhered to the principle that a true musician must not only master the instrument but also express inner emotions through music, reflecting the national color and cultural heritage of their people.
