This article is devoted to the study of the lingvopoetic features and functional significance of phonetic dialectisms found in the texts of Uzbek folk tales. The study emphasizes the importance of fairy tale texts as a unique linguistic source that has preserved ancient strata of the popular language and archaic phonetic elements. The research conducts a systematic analysis of phonetic dialectisms, presented with illustrative examples. It explains that phonetic dialectisms in folk tales serve two main functions: firstly, reflecting the historical-linguistic heritage by preserving the traces of complex phonetic processes such as the simplification of consonant clusters, epenthesis, elision, assimilation, and consonant epenthesis; secondly, being used to naturalize the characters' speech, thereby creating artistic-aesthetic expressiveness and regional coloring
