Alisher Navoi’s biographical anthology “Majolis un-nafois” is regarded as one of the most significant sources in the history of Turkic literature for the study of poets’ lives and works, as well as the literary milieu of the fifteenth century. This work not only provides detailed information about the writers of its time but also occupies a distinctive place in the formation and development of the tazkira-writing tradition initiated by Navoi. The wide circulation of “Majolis un-nafo”is through copying in various cultural milieus, its translation into Persian, and its publication in later centuries serves as clear evidence of the sustained scholarly and cultural interest it has attracted. Against this background, a comparative analysis of the “Tashkent edition” of “Majolis un-nafois” and the “Tehran edition” of “Hasht Bihisht” by Qazvini, with the aim of identifying textual differences and examining the reasons for these discrepancies, constitutes an important task in contemporary Navoi studies. The present research is devoted to this issue and seeks to determine the nature of the changes introduced by Qazvini in the course of translation, as well as to assess their impact on the essence of the tazkira and its value as a historical and literary source.
