The poems written by Abdulla Oripov during his foreign travels are characterized as products of an individual creative style, as reflected in their artistic scope, formal and thematic features and the expression of lyrical experience. In Uzbek literary studies, the issue of the harmony between lyrical emotion and poetic imagery in the works of major poets has been explored only partially. Within this scholarly framework, the present article examines the poetry of Abdulla Oripov, People’s Poet of Uzbekistan and the founder of a distinctive poetic school, and offers an academic assessment of his place in the nation’s artistic and aesthetic consciousness. Furthermore, the specific features of lyrical experience in the poet’s oeuvre are analyzed, with particular attention paid to examples of autopsychological lyricism. The manifestation of inner and outer lyrical experience is examined through the author’s perspective and creative innovation, on the basis of poetic texts and from both artistic and scholarly viewpoints. In addition, the methods and means by which the poet’s creative emotions are expressed in his works are investigated
