Annotatsiya

This study presents a theoretical and numerical investigation of one-dimensional radial suspension filtration through a cylindrical filter medium under constant-pressure conditions. A mathematical model of the filtration process is developed based on the mass conservation equations for the liquid and solid phases coupled with the modified Darcy–Shirato equation. The resulting model is formulated as a non-linear moving-boundary problem with a free cake–suspension interface, accounting for the dependence of the local permeability and solid volume fraction on the compressive pressure within the cake layer. The numerical results provide the spatio-temporal distributions of the compressive pressure, solid volume fraction, and relative permeability throughout the cake layer.
