Currently, diabetes mellitus (DM) is considered a cause of many complications affecting various organs and systems of the body. The brain is no exception; it is particularly adversely affected, manifesting as changes in cognitive and emotional functioning. Early diagnosis of cerebral disorders in DM will help reduce potential disability in children in the future and improve their quality of life.
