In the context of intense physical loads experienced by athletes, the effective support of the body's recovery processes remains a pressing issue. This study aims to investigate the effects of spirulina—a natural source of antioxidants and bioactive substances—on the morphofunctional changes in muscle tissue and myocardium in rats subjected to excessive physical loads, as well as to evaluate its efficacy in metabolic support programs for athletes. Experimental results demonstrated positive changes in morphometric and immunohistochemical indicators, indicating reduced tissue damage and accelerated regeneration. Clinical studies among young athletes confirmed improvements in functional parameters and increased physical endurance following the inclusion of spirulina in their diet. The findings substantiate the use of spirulina as an effective component of metabolic support, contributing to the optimization of recovery processes and enhancement of athletic performance.
