Annotatsiya

The phase composition and subsurface current (90−580 K) were studied in expired scintillators made from doped LiF crystals after irradiation with 4 MeV electron fluencies 1013-1015 el/cm2 at beam current densities 100−400 nA/cm2 at >300 K. Different critical temperatures were found, above which the ionic transport mechanism dominates (F− at 1013 cm-2 370 K, and Li+ at 465 K, at 1014 cm-2 480 K and 1015 cm-2 450 K – Li+ , Н+ and O− ). The calculated activation energy was found to decrease with the fluency growth from 1013 to 1015 cm−2 . The complex phase of 2LiF-3B2O3 solid solution was discovered in the expired scintillator, which transformed into LiBH4 and LiH nanophases upon 1015 el/cm2 . Appearance of B and H is possible result of nuclear reactions in LiF under 4 MeV electron beam, and their contribution should be taken into account in the ionic conductivity of thermoluminescent dosimeters and detectors.
