Total of 50 patients with febrile seizures and 50 children aged 0 to 7 years with symptomatic epilepsy underwent clinical neurological, electrophysiological, and laboratory examinations. Electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and biochemical blood analyses were performed. Based on the obtained results, the patients were divided into several groups for detailed analysis. Children residing in the Aral Sea region were compared with children living in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region.
