The article evaluates the effectiveness of preoperative embolization in the treatment of hypervascularized brain meningiomas and presents a method for predicting intraoperative blood loss. The study included 93 patients, 42 of whom underwent embolization before surgery, while 51 patients underwent only surgical tumor removal. Embolization reduced blood loss by 1,8 times (471.4±41.6 ml versus 834.3±54.4 ml) and the volume of blood transfusion by 2,5 times (116.6±36 ml versus 291.2±43.4 ml). The predictive method demonstrated high accuracy in assessing blood loss-related risks and contributed to more radical tumor removal according to Simpson Grade I (45.2% versus 29.4% in the control group).
