Aim. To study the role of nanotropil in the treatment of chronic vertebrobasilar insufficiency. Materials and methods. In the neurological department of the Samarkand branch of the Russian Research Center for Emergency Medicine, we examined 62 patients (32 men and 30 women, average age 61,2±1,5 years). We studied patients diagnosed with dyscirculatory encephalopathy stages II and III, whose clinical picture was predominantly characterized by vestibuloatactic syndrome and mild cognitive decline. The patients were divided into two groups - the main group (29 people) and the comparison group (33 people), who did not differ in age, gender, duration of the disease and its main clinical manifestations. Patients in the main group took nanotropil at a dose of 100 mg/day, orally, in the first half of the day for 30 days. Patients in the comparison group took piracetam 0,4 g 2 times a day (morning, lunch). Results. As a result of the study, it was revealed that in patients of the main group by the 30th day of treatment, dizziness significantly decreased in 25 patients (83% of patients), a moderate decrease in dizziness was noted in 6 patients (17%), the manifestation of ataxic disorders significantly decreased in 14 patients (72%), moderate in 7 patients (28%). After a 30-day course of treatment with Nanotropil, a significant increase in the speed of movements in the hands was recorded (reciprocal coordination test), in contrast to patients in the comparison group. Conclusion. The studied mechanism of neuromodulatory action, which ensures predictability of therapy and ease of use, undoubtedly increases the effectiveness of treatment of vertebrobasilar insufficiency and places the drug Nanotropil in the priority range in the complex treatment of this pathology.
