The article examines the rhetorical transformation of Charles Dickens's prose, based on a detailed analysis of selected fragments from the novels “Bleak House”, “Little Dorrit”, “A Tale of Two Cities”, and “Our Mutual Friend”, which belong to the mature period of the writer's work.
