This article analyzes the emergence of new words within the digital discourse and the process of their semantic expansion. Changes in the language system under the influence of the Internet, social networks and mobile communication tools are studied, in particular, the creation of new terms, the semantic transformation of existing units and their functions in communication. The study comparatively highlights lexical innovations similar to the digital environment, their place of use and practical features on the example of the English and Uzbek languages.
