Using the tblt methodology to assess sociolinguistic competence in a multimodal environment

Annotatsiya

The article investigates how Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) assessment methods work to evaluate students' social language skills in multimodal educational settings. The research shows that TBLT assessments in multimodal environments allow students to show their social language skills by completing real-world tasks yet face difficulties when creating dependable assessment standards. The study demonstrates that task-based assessment systems which combine visual elements with auditory components and textual content provide a complete method for evaluating students' capacity to use social language differences in actual communication contexts.
