This article discusses the issues of the formation and realization of linguistic personality in theenvironment of the Internet and social networks. The concepts of Internet language and social network language,their specific features are analyzed. The impact of phenomena such as anonymity, freedom, interactivity,abbreviations, memes, emoticons on the language system in the Internet environment, as well as thespiritual and cultural consequences of this process, are scientifically covered.
