This article presents a comprehensive analysis of gender terms within the lexico-semantic fieldof «maternity» in the Russian language, viewing them as key markers that not only reflect but also activelyshape sociocultural stereotypes. Gender terms actively participate in the construction and maintenance ofmaternity stereotypes, often based on traditional notions of sacrifice and selflessness (maternal duty, sacrificein the name of children). Such pressure can restrict women and lead to the stigmatization of those who donot conform to the «ideal.» The research indicates that gender terms in the field of «maternity» constitutea complex phenomenon that not only reflects but also actively forms social reality and cultural perceptions.Changes in language, in turn, can serve as a tool for overcoming outdated stereotypes.
