Annotatsiya

This scholarly article analyzes synonymous and antonymous relationships in words with gender-specific features in the Uzbek language. Despite the absence of a grammatical gender category, as seenin languages like Russian or German, the vocabulary of the Uzbek language contains a significant numberof words that directly or indirectly indicate a person’s sex. The paper examines how these words form synonymous and antonymous pairs and explores the linguistic and sociocultural factors that influence theserelationships.
