This article discusses the expression of concepts related to the sense of smell through nouns,adjectives, verbs, and phrases, their specific semantic properties, the use of their methods of transferringmeaning through metaphor and metonymy, as well as the important role these words and phrases play inhuman understanding and representation of the world.
