This article analyzes the theoretical views on the acquisition of the first language (LA1) startingfrom ancient times and interpretations within the framework of modern psycholinguistics and cognitivelinguistics. During the analysis, the ideas of such scholars as Plato, Descartes, Vygotsky, Chomsky, E. Clark,S. Pinker on language acquisition are compared and highlighted in comparison with research in our nationallinguistics. Through this article, an attempt is made to determine the interrelationship of scientific views onlanguage acquisition and its harmony with linguistic research in Uzbek linguistics.
