Phraseological units are fixed expressions that convey a figurative meaning and are insertedinto speech as ready-made constructions. They enhance expressiveness and enrich the vocabulary of thelanguage. In the Uzbek language, like in many others, these units undergo changes over time – lexical orgrammatical elements may be expanded, replaced, reduced, or omitted.
